Beyond The Call: A Life in Humanitarian Service is a powerful memoir detailing over thirty years of crisis response, leadership, and community empowerment in the Horn of Africa. Written by Mohamed Abdinoor Dahir—an experienced academic, disaster resilience expert, and vice-chancellor of the Islamic University of Kenya—this book bridges real-world field experiences with deep reflections on leadership and service.
From his early days as a science teacher to heading major aid operations across Somalia, Kenya, and Uganda, Dahir candidly shares the triumphs, challenges, and quiet moments of impact that rarely make the headlines. Beyond The Call serves as both an inspiring personal story and an essential read for anyone passionate about international development, peacebuilding, and ethical leadership.`
